We rented Scooters in Kelowna. Anthony crashed coming down a very steep hill. Absolutely the funniest thing I witnessed on the road trip.

loveys joins the tour

March 20th, 2009

This clip is the first of Loveys.  He decided to fly out to Calgary to meet us half way for the rest of the road trip.  If I remember correctly, he arrived with a sinus infection.  Typical Loveys…arrives late with an illness. Close to the end of this clip, you’ll meet Steve-o. Steve-o treeplanted with us approx. 4 weeks prior to us seeing him in Calgary. Wicked dude from Australia. He was living in a place with the rest of the Aussies in Canmore that looked onto the mountains.

Entertaining article about Facebook.  It’s a long read, so if you don’t have the time at least read this excerpt:

“Being a true friend, I didn’t allay his guilt. I told him he was a very sad man, that collecting Facebook friends is the equivalent of being a catlady, collecting numerous Himalayans, which you have neither the time nor the inclination to feed. “You have obviously never been on Facebook,” he said. “It’s so much worse than collecting cats.” By this week, however, he’d lost all ironic distance. When I told him that he now took it all way too seriously, that I liked the old, conflicted him better, and that he should take a hard look at himself, he sloughed me off. He was now just another friend-whore: “I don’t need to look at myself. I have 614 Facebook friends to do the looking for me.”

After about 1 year of membership and approx. 230 friends later I corroborate that this Facebook thing is a sickness.  The time I used to spend relaxing with my wife or talking about our respective days at work, is now spent creeping on that creepy home page.  As much as I think that FB is a complete waste of time, it actually yielded a positive experience for me last week.  I was able to make a business contact with an old school mate who is in a good position to place me as a preferred print vendor at her agency.  Thank you Facebook.

Went and saw Fleetwood Mac at the ACC last night.  We sat 6th row center!  The baby was kicking crazy hard.  Stevie hasn’t lost one step.  I’ll try to post video from the show later, but for now check this back stage footage from when Stevie was fresh on the scene.
